Now in Stock: Tortuga 1948

Wrapper: Connecticut
Filler: Dominican
Binder: Dominican

We recently discovered Tortuga cigars. We instantly fell in love with these wonderfully made cigars. Not only did we bring in these cigars, but we also brought in the 1950 and the Limited Edition 2011.

 Appearance:

The Connecticut wrapper on this cigar is a light to medium brown shade. The leaf is a bit darker than the usual Connecticut shade wrapper. The cap is made up of three separate flush layers. The cigar itself is very smooth with only a few minor veins. Also the smell from this cigar is quite earthy.

Construction:

The cigar is uniform and solid throughout. The burn was perfectly even and the draw was perfect. It had the perfect amount of resistance. The smoke produced was thick and creamy. Overall the construction was perfect.

Flavor:

As soon as these cigars were lit up, the smooth earthy tones come out. There was a very light spice that came out after a few puffs, but there was an equally strong sugar flavor. As this cigar progressed, the creaminess of the smoke increased. The profile remained perfectly balanced through the first half.

As we moved into the second half of this cigar the earthy tones picked up. The spice moved to be more on the draw. Once the spice lessened, the sweet creamy flavor coated out palates. The finish was absolutely great with a ton of flavor in each puff.

Overall:

These cigars are great. If youre looking for a great morning cigar, or even just a mild cigar to enjoy with a nice cup of coffee, look no further than this cigar. The reviews of the 1950 and Limited Edition 2011 will be up later this week, so keep a look out.

Thank you,

The Xhale Lounge Crew
