Now in Stock: CAO Brazilia Corovado (Review)

Wrapper: Brazilian
Filler: Nicaraguan
Binder: Nicaraguan

If you remember yesterday we posted a review of the CAO Lx2. This Brazilia is another Bargain Cigar that we felt the need to bring in. This cigar has been a popular cigar among people who want to get the most bang for their buck. We brought in the most popular size of the Brazilia to try it out.

Appearance:

The CAO Brazilia Corovado isn't a huge cigar, but it does last awhile. This cigar is only 4.2 inches long, but it has a 60 ring gauge. So it may look like a short smoke, but in reality it will last over an hour.

The Brazilian wrapper is dark brown and very smooth and oily. There are two layers that make up the cap of this cigar that both lie perfectly flush. We can tell by looking at the foot that these cigars have a nice even pack to them.

Construction:

As we said, it looks tightly packed, and to the touch, this cigar is very solid. The burn was perfectly even all the way through. Since the ring gauge is so large, the draw was naturally pretty easy. The cigar produced a thick plentiful smoke that gave off a nice aroma.

Flavor:

As soon as we lit these cigars up, we were amazed at how smooth and balanced the flavor profile was. There was a slightly sweet hint on the draw that lead into a very nice earthiness. As this cigar very slowly progressed, the sweet notes seemed to pick up a bit more. There was more earthiness with each puff as well. As the first half started to round out after about a half hour, little coffee tones and a strong woodiness came out.

We were amazed at how complex this cigar was in the first half, we could barely wait to get to the second half. The flavor profile became even more balanced when little pepper notes came out and complimented the sweet notes. The coffee mellowed out to an accent and the background was very earthy with hints of oak. The finish was absolutely amazing.

Overall:

We know why this cigar was named one of the best bargain stick. This medium bodied cigar has a ton of complexity and flavor. Once the word gets out a bit more about these, they wont last long. Be sure to stop in and try out some of the new sticks we got in.

Thank you,

The Xhale Lounge Crew
